Wander, Wonder & Ponder

An Afternoon Tea that combined a few of Hong Kong's iconic features – the red-sailed Aqualuna, the Victoria Harbour and Dim Sum.

As borders closed for travel and leisure, we alleviated our wanderlust by exploring Hong Kong's melting pot of traditions and gustation.

With 3-tiered sweet and savoury delights, the Lady Caine Afternoon Tea was a distinctive depiction of Hong Kong’s colonial elegance.

Sipping a cup of decadent Malagos Chocolate was distinctive, but slathering on the body for an aromatic massage was an ultimate indulgence!

During the trip, this Henry Miller quote resonated with me: “One’s destination is never a place, but rather a new way of looking at things."

Like a scene straight out of manga or anime – we strolled along the historic sakura tree-lined canals, tasted hanami dango and matcha.

We strode along a passage tucked in lush Japanese Cedar. At Hogsmeade's high street, the silhouette of Hogwarts Castle came to view.

Walking under the clouds of the revered white and pink petals, we came to a standstill to register a mental picture of our wonderful hanami.

Our hanami in Osaka and Kyoto paved our journey to appreciate the ephemeral beauty of sakura and enjoy seasonal delicacies of the region.
